Before you book
- Tell the groomer your dog's breed, size and age, and when it was last groomed.
- Mention any matting: heavily matted coats often have to be clipped short and can cost more.
- Ask what's included: bath, dry, clip, nails, ears and hygiene trim.
- Ask for a pick-up time; some salons keep dogs for the whole morning.
- Mention health issues, nerves or a history of biting so the groomer can plan the session.
